Conferences

  • 4/2011 - Ad:Tech San Francisco, USA

The ad:tech conferences are stationed around the world and throughout the year, and are the broadest shows for the internet advertising industry. But ad:tech San Francisco is one of the biggest, and considering its proximity to Silicon Valley and all the potential advertisers to meet with, ET's attendance was to be expected.

The three day conference included seminars on subjects such as network proliferation, traffic acquisition, and diversifying of monetization channels. Long term customers, most notably the elusive Chase Sagum, had their existence verified in person; living and breathing, even having lunch with the team. 120 new contacts were made, with the promise of significant spends on new verticals, and of course, conference ROI. A day at Pebble Beach with one of the world's largest domain holders could produce a 'game changing' wave of a vailable i nventory o ver t ime. J eremy a nd W ei- Hai were noble enough to let the domain holders win the round, so I like our chances. I on the otherhand, scored 72 Under by staying in San Fran, it seems Pebble Beach does not allow five-somes!

  • 4/2011 - Marketing Live, Slovakia

Once upon a time in country not that far away (Slovakia) was held a conference - Marketing Live 2011. Couple of elephants jumped in a car and headed towards Bratislava on April, 13th. We arrived in late evening and found out, that our accommodation is nice apartments, just a few meters form the centre.

Gate One hotel, where the conference took place, is very modern environment, were we spend 2 days. Various speakers were present - Tomáš Jindříšek (Managing Director, OgilvyInteractive), Martin Jaroš (Vice President, Marketing Communications & Online,T-Mobile) and Pavla Tomsová (Marketing Director, Nokia ČR). We had chance to talk to them personally and participate in several workshops.

The next day meetings with our clients and new partners took place. We managed to close some good deals, especially for the traffic.

  • 3/2011 - Internet Standard, Poland

On March 3rd and 4th we attended Internet Standard conference at Warsaw, Poland.

We arrived on Wednesday in early after- noon, so we had rest of the day to explore the city. Warsaw was unfortunately almost completely de- stroyed during WWII, so there ́s not much left of historical downtown to see. We visited some huge building at Centre square that looks like Empire State building. Although on the outside of this building is a massive bigboard – poster, which totally disrespects historical status and in the evening whole building is lit up, sadly the lights are not white but rather multicoloured, therefore this building looks like rainbow. Otherwise Warsaw is a nice city, with good-looking chicks and pretty tasty beer.

On second day we attended conference. It was about polish internet market, new ideas and topics. Many important people delivered their speech, including mr. Kowalczyk - IAB ceo, mr. Sokolowski – online business development direc- tor at Internet Standard and mr. Bartkowiak – di- rector of business division at Agora PL.

In the evening was official party at popular club and we met a lot of people there. We drank vodka with them and was discussing how come, that two czech aliens arrived to Polish conference. There was interesting discussion about compari- son between Czech and Polish online market.

The next day second part of the conference was held. During the brakes there was a lot of pos- sibility for networking. So we discuss new trends in Poland online marketing, meet new potential clients and found new Polish friends.

We met a lot of people, learned new ideas and understanded polish market. Based on our obser- vations, we are able to set up a business plan and successfully expand on their market.
